Museum Humidification Solution
Speaker: Penny Peng
Location: W2-M2
Abstract: Almost all works of art, artefacts and documents stored in museums and libraries are made from natural materials that are sensitive to the humidity in the environment where they are kept. Canvas, wood, parchment and paper have a moisture content that tends to reach equilibrium with the humidity in the surrounding air. Variations in room temperature and humidity may modify the dimensions and mechanical properties of these materials, causing irreversible damage to paintings, manuscripts and other works of art. To conserve old objects perfectly intact, museums and libraries therefore need to guarantee specific ambient conditions, with precision and over very long periods of time. In this document, CAREL provides its knowledge on how to achieve the ideal conditions for conserving the objects that make up our historical and cultural heritage

CAREL solutions for Retail Commercial Refrigeration
Speaker: Eason Cheng
Location: W2-M2
Abstract: Retail business in China keeps growing at a fast rate. China will surpass the US to become the top retail market in 2019. Refrigeration is an important part of the retail business, requiring both efficiency and reliability to meet retailers’ operating cost requirements and guarantee food safety, the hottest topic in China recently. We will introduce Carel’s solutions, from small to large commercial refrigeration applications, with BLDC inverters and natural refrigerants, connected to a reliable supervisory system to provide a high efficiency and reliable control system. Will also explain how CAREL’s services in China are becoming a key factor in ensuring the systems run with the best performance

CAREL solutions for Light commercial refrigeration
Speaker: Tom Chen
Location: W2-M2
Abstract: With energy saving and environmental protection standards becoming stricter and stricter, light commercial refrigeration is gradually beginning to use natural refrigerants such as R290 and variable-speed solutions to reduce pollution and improve performance. CAREL offers the IR33+VCC high-efficiency controller that sets the compressor speed, continuously and accurately, accordingly to the actual room temperature, via frequency or serial mode.

Smart home:total control solution for constant temperature constant relative humidity and constant oxygen house
Speaker: Penny Peng
Location: W3-M10
Abstract: Smart home: total control solution for a home with constant temperature, constant relative humidity and constant oxygen content To assure a home with constant temperature, constant relative humidity and constant oxygen content, the air temperature, relative humidity and air quality need to be controlled. And these processes are usually achieved using different products. In general, underfloor systems for heating, air-conditioning for cooling, a humidifier to humidify the air, a dehumidifier to dehumidify the air, and a fresh air system to increase O2, and decrease PM2.5 and VOCs. These devices are independent of each other, and there are basically no complete solutions to control all of them. For customers, it is very complicated to operate these different control systems. CAREL is bringing its experience and expertise in air-conditioning and refrigeration into this area, inventing a new, complete solution for constant temperature, constant relative humidity and constant oxygen in high-tech residential buildings. Simple interface, easy operation. A new 4.3” pGDx touch display is the only interface. Operation is automatic, there is no need to do anything on the display. Based on air quality, the system automatically increases or decreases the temperature, humidifies or dehumidifies, ventilates or purifies the air. The set point can be set on the display. If the air is heavily polluted, the user can click the inside circuit function to purify the air quickly. A system scheduler can manage the daily operating mode according to the user’s needs. The core of the entire system is CAREL’s mature programmable controller, the c.pco mini. Built-in optimised logic algorithms with communication functions can manage operation of all of the connected devices, according to set points and programmed logic. When the entire system is set up and connected to the Internet, users can control it remotely, receiving alarms via an APP. Making homes with constant temperature, constant relative humidity and constant oxygen content more intelligent, for a truly smart, breathable home.
