The Retailer Smart bundle, intended for food retailers that pay special attention to site optimisation, adds extra dashboards to the Retailer bundle, for monitoring refrigeration, HVAC and defrost power consumption.
The main advantage of using the Retailer Smart bundle is a significant reduction in energy consumption, with the focus on the most energy-intensive technologies in the food retail segment. HVAC consumption can be compared between sites with different characteristics and in different locations, thus allowing HVAC consumption to be analysed independently of the outdoor temperature and store floor area. Regarding refrigeration power consumption, it also estimates expected consumption, allowing users to monitor whether actual power consumption exceeds the estimated range and take any actions needed to bring the system quickly back within the expected range.
Particularly important in the food retail business is the control of the defrost process, to guarantee food quality and keep energy performance under control. The portal, by analysing the performance of the defrost cycles, automatically optimises the defrost parameters based on the statistical behaviour of the individual device.
